When a Houston couple approached TASC Design about designing technology into their retirement home, they wanted whole-house audio and video, yet they had little interest in learning a complex system that would require more technical savvy than they possessed or desired. It was also critical that the technology blend into the fashionable, yet comfortable, interior.
That is the case with this 6,800-square-foot home on Lake Conroe near Houston, TX. A Crestron control system makes the whole-house audio, video and lighting a snap to control from anywhere in the home. All audio and video components are centrally located in an equipment rack built in to a wall near the family room and operated by wireless touchpanels.
